Not everything is a deeply rooted conspiracy.

If I was a dumbfuck muslim migrant and wanted maximal attention for my unobtainium demands, a synagogue is a comfortable target of opportunity; it is natural for a Palestinian to wish harm upon jews, what would be odd is if he were to target a church, given his ethnicity.

I almost said nationality, and then I remembered... LOL.

Regardless, belligerent hostage takers who overplay the threat to their meat armor and steadfastly refuse to surrender are almost always killed.
