They are most-certainly delusional. Their population-control AI-prediction SHTF-simulation technology isn't. As long as they control all forms of media: people will lap-up their delusional musings, wholesale. This is a major crux to work against.
The problem is that, reality isn't a controlled environment
I know truth wins in the end. It can't not. The problem is: how we get there, and how long that takes. I hope they're as incompetent as you say they are. I really, truly, hope so. I'm still covering my bases, just in case.
