Garbage article. We do not need to curb GHG as it is not a significant contributing factor to rising temperatures, it allows for more productive crops using less water and time, and every prior major extinction event has been due to cold. As every human and animal migration pattern indicates, life prefers hotter temperatures, hence the abundance of animal, plant and human life centred closely to equatorial regions while polar tundras remain mostly void. Since 1980, an increase of between 14% and 20% of greening has occurred globally, which is tightly linked to the increase in atmospheric carbon.

Currently, the US alone produces so much grain that much of it is either converted to biofuels, dumped in poorer countries or burned. China, the world's most populous country is a major exporter of grain and fruit. India, the world's second most populated country, is the #1 exporter of rice in the world. In fact, China, India, the USA, and Brazil are all net exporters of food.

Just as birds, deer, or any other lifeform on this planet propagate with an abundance of food habitat and available mates, so do humans. Species that disregard available resources experience lower life expectancies, especially with their offspring.

What will come of 2050, few can say and none with certainty. But to predicate shortfalls due to global warming is nonsense.
