They slaughtered all their creative people. They don't have innovators! Their society has the winners and losers picked out and no one can get ahead by doing something new without having the corrupt leaders just take it. In such a society having a great idea is more likely to get get you killed than make you a millionaire. They are allowed to steal our technology and even have our companies give away the jobs we created. If that was to ever end they would stagnate instantly while we create whole new industries.
