bumped into a guy wearing rattlesnake headband (wide open rattler maw front & center) on his chapeaux. fl man type. struck up convo, told me of how he’d been bit - how swelling subsided and returned between antidote administrations. also said kept them left loose in his garage as booby traps.

My friend just got bit by a baby rattlesnake.

He was at a plant nursery. Began to laugh when the ambulance arrived and let the snake go. Apparently, they can use the snake for the antivenom. Keep the snake, if you get bit.

He almost lost his foot, it seems like it may never be the same and each treatment is 25k.

They had to sell their new car and a lot of stuff to keep up with it.

Stay the hell away from rattlesnakes.

dude I met said arm swole up two times it’s normal size, they’d pump him up with anti and it would shrink, only to swell up again. redux. said burn during introduction of the remedy was like fire.

Yeah, my buddy was a marine and he is trying to put a good face on it, but it's sounding like his foot and leg will never be the same. The blood cells expand and explode, apparently as the result of hemotoxic properties, but rattlesnake venom I guess also has neurotoxin properties, as well.
