Ok, so I live in France, this is what I can tell you. He and some friends were jumped by a gang of arabs. The friends all ran but they caught him, and beat him badly leaving him in a coma. Last I heard he was still comatose.

I was listening to the radio coverage while driving this morning. They spent about 10 seconds speaking about the crime, 10 seconds about the victim, and almost a whole minute being indignant that the surveillance video was leaked to the internet and how that is such a crime.

Yeah I've gotten that in conversation plenty of times. Thing is, I've never seen French do this shit, I've seen arabs do this shit countless times.
