  • Bill seeks to tax patrimony of more than 200 million pesos

  • Measure expected to affect slightly more than 9,000 taxpayers

> Argentina’s Senate late Friday approved a proposed one-time wealth tax, which seeks to boost government revenue by targeting millionaires with assets of more than 200 million pesos ($2.4 million).

> The legislation, which had already passed the lower house, was promoted by the governing coalition and spearheaded by lawmakers Carlos Heller and Maximo Kirchner, son of Vice President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner. It seeks to plug a gap caused by a plunge in government revenue due to the strict lockdown authorities imposed to fight the pandemic -- with limited success.

The first thing communists do is tear down the existing establishment. Once they are gone they can seize power and redistribute the wealth.

I wish they did. The first thing communists actually do is subvert and demoralize the society. They do this by stealthily infiltrating the houses of learning, houses of worship, publishing, and institutions of cultural and historical preservation. They keep their heads down, making sure to never draw attention to themselves until they believe themselves secure in their positions within the organizations they've infiltrated. They go about networking throughout the society to find others they can bring to serve their cause and working to get their own promoted over the heritage societal population.

The thing that's interesting is, that they usually don't exceed more than ten percent of the population within a country at any given time. Usually, they're violently culled by rural and country side uprisings.

That's part of the establishment

I'm not convinced that they see us as part of the same society as theirs.
