The publication project in France by Mein Kampf was announced in 2015 by Fayard Publishing . That year, a great controversy followed. Asked by the JDD , the latter indicates that the manifesto will be published in 2020. The book will be accompanied by a new translation and a critical edition of 1,000 pages. "The manuscript is almost ready," says the project leader, Florent Brayard, also a CNRS research director and specialist in the history of the Holocaust. The last edition of the book in France dates from 1934 About fifteen researchers and historians, French and German, worked on the subject. "It was important to work in peace," says Florent Brayard. The fire was published in 2016 in Germany and was immediately a publishing success. More than 100,000 copies were then sold. Mein Kampf was banned in Germany for seventy years. In France, the last edition of the book dates from 1934. "The edition in circulation is not critical.The translation has aged," notes Florent Brayard.
