That's because Chinese and Indian units will do it for a fraction of the cost. Sure, you need to hire 5 jeets, but that's still cheaper than one USA citizen.
Adding that you'll never get the same performance and expertise. 95% of these pajeets can't code something that will successfully compile. Their code is a patchwork of StackOverflow examples.
But we saved the shareholders (today) money. And that's what's important.
On to the next topic of the board meeting: a large raise/options to buy shares for dirt cheap and a huge increase to the golden parachutes for our executives.
Something something crApple, Microsoft, jewgle...
Around 2000, I first heard something like that, the engineering department manager said "I could hire 5 Chinese engineers for your salary..." as they tried to squeeze merit increases and increase our workload. I quit 4 years later.
1994 the company I worked for hired Indians to re-write the TPS2/CICS warehouse management software because company wanted to get into the Indian market. Jeets wrote it, tested it, turned it on...it failed spectacularly. Turns out they tested the system with 1 SKU, instead of the 10000s that were in the warehouse system.
Took a couple weeks before orders were coming back in correctly, and there were still "BLAKHOLE" locations in the warehouse (along with orders that showed up a year late) when I left in 95.
I should mention that this was the same time my college professors were crowing about the efficiencies of kumar and habeeb.
