How many times have I said it. When you force RTO, the best people leave for a company that is not forcing RTO. You only keep the poor/mediocre employees.

From the post:

>Return-to-office (RTO) mandates have caused companies to lose some of their best workers, a study tracking over 3 million workers at 54 "high-tech and financial" firms at the S&P 500 index has found. These companies also have greater challenges finding new talent, the report concluded. The paper, Return-to-Office Mandates and Brain Drain [PDF], comes from researchers from the University of Pittsburgh, as well as Baylor University, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business. The study, which was published in November, spotted this month by human resources (HR) publication HR Dive, and cites Ars Technica reporting, was conducted by collecting information on RTO announcements and sourcing data from LinkedIn.

Good, if you're that good of an employee you will land on your feet. If not too fucking bad. Fuck all the WFH people who have caused house prices to go up out in the sticks. Get the fuck back into your fucking cities.

Fuck you man, Some of us were forced to move to "shithole cities" for work. I just want to "go home" and make sure the blue fuck's that have been invading the place have a harder time moving in since they are willing to commute 1-2 hours from a "cheap red" state to a "piece of shit blue state".

Seriously though, I get it. It sucks and there should be limits on people moving into cities and the expansion of population to some degree. That should carry rules on how far you commute away (to another state). It is far from a perfect system but at least it would keep "border towns" from getting fucked by blue's moving from the coast to buy "cheap property" then driving a hour away for work in their blue shithole while they vote to try to make your town blue/purple.

yeah, lots of ranting in my head about this.
