All wired up and ready to connect to the mains.

Good thing my neighbor is an elecchicken, in case I need some of these bad boys: https://pic8.co/sh/1Foyfv.png

In case you don't see me posting for a while, something might have gone very wrong.

About 12k Euros for the 14 kWh BYD battery, Fronius Symo Gen24 Plus inverter and Enwitec mains switch-over-box.

Cables, conduits, work hours, etc. not factored in.

Been thinking of getting a propane backup generator myself, something like this: https://apelectric.com/generac-7228-18kw-guardian-generator-with-wi-fi-200a-se-transfer-switch/

The problem with solar where I'm at is we sometimes get bad hail storms that would almost certainly bust up the solar panels.

Don't have data handy but those panels are supposed to be more resilient than one might think. Do some research.

Propane genny sounds like a good idea, in case you have a good amount of propane storage. Where I live, we use fuel oil and have large tanks in our basements.

All I know is that the common storms have hail that's about the size of a large ball bearing if not a bit bigger, and the rarer ones have like tennis ball sized hail.

Hm yeah I'm not sure where we could put the propane to be honest, I haven't spent much time looking into it.
