I finished a project for my nephew and sister. My niece recently lost her battle with cancer. I made a couple of these to give them. They are the profiles of both my niece and nephew. His is made from red oak, hers is poplar. When flipped around his is the outer profile and hers is the inner. Both profiles can be seen on either side. I used linseed oil to bring out the natural wood color. All that's left is for the engraved plate to be attached.

Awesome, very nice gesture. Constructive criticism here, lots of love and all but what's with the jew nose in the middle? Doesn't seem necessary. Maybe I've been looking at too many rare merchants.

I think I see it now. Damn it now I can't unsee it. I was going for an ethereal flame type of look

I know, I hate to do it to ya, it really is a nice piece.

Not sure where you're speaking of? Their noses are flat. In fairness I'm still growing my bandsaw skills.
