My niece lost her battle with cancer recently. I'm working on something for my sister and my nephew. On this project I've cut out the silhouette of my nephew on one side and my niece on the other. I did this out of red oak. I also cut out a silhouette of her on poplar. https://pic8.co/sh/kmHuYn.jpg I intend to glue them together after I finish cutting the back of the poplar one. Should I stain the oak first, glue them then seal them?
