I took side profile pics of my daughter and her fiance and traced them into a piece of mahogany. Them I cut them out on a bandsaw. The base is oak. I glued them together with dowels. Just finished staining it. Next will be a couple coats of poly. I've already ordered an engraved tag to attach with their names and wedding date. I sure hope they like it.

That's so awesome. You could make some coin selling these, all would be custom and personalised.

Take you long?

Took about 2 hours. To be fair though, I wasn't attempting to hurry. I was puttering around the garage and keeping an eye on the little ones while working on it. If you're decently with a scroll saw or band saw it shouldn't take long.

I've got ideas for simple modifications to the design. Like using the outer silhouette for the parents with the inner being the silhouettes of the children or some such along those lines.
