Kinda figured, “ fuck it” on buying or building an Alaskan sawmill. Just screwed a tubafor to some saw horses and propped her up on some logs. My ego says I could have cut more straighter free hand, but that’s more than likely incorrect. Tank of gas gets me a length and a half. Not beautiful wood, but it’s got its character. https://pic8.co/sh/pQ7zKm.jpeg Edit: I ran some 60 grit on the log, then slathered her in linseed oil to keep the checking at bay. Wiped off my hands on one of the cuts, see how they do …none of my cuts are square and the thickness varies. I got a couple within a quarter inch. Don’t really have a plan though, just having fun
