This would be cool. Its way beyond my skill and tool set right now though. I hope you do this and post pictures. Even the name hurdy gurdy is cool.
shit, i just told the other guy i don't like taking on projects without a general sense of when i'll complete them... i'll give it a shot, but we may all be on another site by then.
It would take awhile unless this kind of stuff was a full time job. I wont ask you to do it because its obviously a large project. I'd love to see it but I can understand why you might not want to commit to something so large.
Either way, I always like seeing you woodworking posts. Always nice work. That Cardinals thing had some nice scroll saw(I think) work. The thin linear cuts, band saw, whatever it was.

the hurdy gurdy build has been floating around in my noggin for a time now. i do hope to get past the thinking about doing it stage and into the doing of it.
