No, not that wood pervert!

I have my prototype model display shelf/shelves glued up and drying. Just used some 1x2 and 1/4x2 oak I got from Lowe's. I made a prototype to get an idea of if I could do what I wanted with the tools and stuff that I have, which isn't a lot but is enough to lose a finger or 5. Some things I wish I had? Table saw of some kind, that would have made cutting the slot for the shelf support far easier and consistent, and more clamps. I never really understood why woodworkers have so many clamps. After using all the ones that I have I understand why now.

Photos clamped up (the top shelf support was already glued and clamped together): https://pic8.co/sh/UbURa4.JPEG

I have plans someplace for what the final unit will look like, but I think I'm going to make some adjustments to the design. No real point in posting those at the moment. I certainly need a few more things like a Black & Decker folding bench/table thing, a straight edge I can clamp to various sizes of stock (for straighter cuts) and a router with a cutting bit. Oh, and clamps...

I started the day with trying to make a monitor stand out of some scrap 3/4 inch decking I have but can't get a consistently straight cut. Maybe I'll try again.
