That's a bummer, Notepad++ was my daily driver back when Windows was still good.

Yeah I ditched them because of their virtue signaling faggotry and switched over to Sublime Text several years ago.

I heard he was a Korean dip, so it's no wonder. I'm still using 7.8.8 out of habit, and the last time I updated it started crashing at random and having weird performance issues for no reason, so I rolled back.

I use it quite a bit because it works pretty well. The guy who created it is anti-Linux and the WINE/Crossover people use Notepad++ as their primary testing app and he mentioned a couple of years ago he didn't like that.
