Emotion is antithetical to reason. There is no political bias here, that's just a fact.
Emotions are, by definition, not rational.
A feature of rationality? What?
They're both wrong. Emotions and rationality are separate things, each with their own purpose. Emotions evolved to guide you when you don't have time to think. If you have time to think rationally, you should and emotion isn't part of thinking rationally.
Emotions and reason are both critically important but must work together in an even balance. Too much emotion without reason and you get screaming children who never matured and always throw fits when they don't get their way. Too much reason without emotion and you get heartless robots who see humans as cattle and mere numbers on a screen. In the end the heart should suggest but the mind must decide.
Emotions are blood memory that fill the gap where reason would be impossible.
