I have an old 2008 nissan quashqai 1.5dci, in the summer here it gives me 50mpg around town, on a run driven sensibly it gives me 65mpg, it's done 149000(miles), serviced by me every 6k, maintained very well by me also and had never had an issue since I owned it. These electric vehicles as others have said are going to be expensive bricks in 8-10 years and they are not green in any way, shape or form!.

Most versatile vehicle I have ever owned and never breaks down as it is so well serviced(in every area).

I don't see the attraction to electric vehicles at all.

What pissed me off is the pushing of EVs. That old chevy is nearly 70 years old. It'll run another 30+ with regular maintenance.

That EV will experience a battery failure and become a brick on wheels in five years.

I don't care if companies want to sell EVs but acting like they are practical for most people is wrong. Especially given how fuel efficient the 4 cylinder engine has become.

You're absolutely right about the battery. Replacement costs will be more than the value of the car.

It is completely unnecessary and out of place. The ENTIRE commercial is in a black neighborhood full of negros with only a brief glimpse of a white kid, but then at the end it shows the black kid, now grown up with his white wife. Ridiculous!

Don't forget how the mother didn't totally chimp out on the boy. Totally unrealistic.

Somehow the son was dressed like a white, obviously hadn't been in jail, wasn't smoking weed. Totally unrealistic.

Fine with me. I've already decided that my Canadian made Impala would be my last GM vehicle (unless I decide to get a vette, unlikely). I'd rather buy Japanese at this point.

Yep Toyota and Honda make plenty of cars in America.
