Too little, too late. Might have been a useful tool 10 years ago, hell even 5 years ago. This is simply to appease the voter base right before the USD sinks then disappears.

Any corp stupid enough to bend over for ESG is probably not a good investment.

Corp directors are supposed to be smarter than that. When they are not that is a clear sign of potential future trouble.

It's not a personal preference for fund managers, there is professional legal liability involved in investment decisions. Pension fund managers are legally liable to protect the funds from fraud, and that includes state employed fund managers.

ESG is basically ENRON. Any normal fund manager should see that clearly enough.
