I know all of the above. You are suggesting that what is reported in news papers is true and should be believed. That blind devotion to misinformation leads to people believing that Twitter has millions of users more than it actually does, and is not a bot farm.

Show me where I said they should "believe" the business section of newspapers. You can't because I didn't.
To "understand" something is to stand under it. If one reads a news paper and believes they understand something, they have accepted it as the truth.

What if I "understand" war? Would it be better to go to war with an adversary without understanding it, so as to not "stand under it"?
If you don't understand financial systems and markets, you are defenseless against them when they are used against you. You also are in no position to create alternative financial systems that can't be weaponized against you.
