I didn't say you have to believe the business section. I said you need to understand it.
Understand lies?
Define P/E ratio. What is market capitalization? What is a naked short? What's a strike price? When is options expiration date each month?

You can't overcome a system being used to enslave you if you don't understand it.
I know all of the above. You are suggesting that what is reported in news papers is true and should be believed. That blind devotion to misinformation leads to people believing that Twitter has millions of users more than it actually does, and is not a bot farm.
Understand why the lies, the real story behind it, and how to react accordingly .
That is quite different than understanding the business section of a newspaper.
