Church's are run by women. The same creatures that brought low all of society.
There is a place for love and nuture but when left in authority women will love nurture and therefor grow evil
The actual Apostolic churches aren't at all. The Catholic, Orthodox, and Coptic churches are still run by men, although women have grown in influence in those places, they can never be priests or bishops and thus never have any real power.
Well I'm Baptist so no comment except to say that the pope isn't even catholic anymore.
So where Satan can he uses nurture as a weapon. Otherwise corruption and subverting of men.

Meh. There have been lots of bad popes and lots of good popes and lots who were in the middle. The Holy Spirit guides the Church, and sometimes He needs to be a cleansing fire to root out evil and indifference.
FWIW, I used to be Baptist before becoming Catholic, because the Church is so much more than the sum of Her bishops (including the Bishop of Rome).
