You start fucking with peoples air conditioners in certain parts of the country and you'll have a mob tearing you limb from limb in a microsecond. They will do it though but it will be by destroying the electric grid and pricing everyone out. Then only resourceful fuckers will be able to keep an AC going as civilization collapses around them in a puff of smoke.
