Anyone surprised? You dont get that high up in the military unless you're compromised, and when you're comprised you tow the party line and push whatever agenda you're told to.
I'm sure there is a substantial core of white, patriotic, Conservative men in the military but they'll never be allowed anywhere near the steering wheel for obvious reasons.
