This is extreme hypocrisy on a whole new level. Restaurant owners charging extra to pay workers while laying the blame on customers because they pay them so poorly. Yeah, no restaurant that does this gets even a penny of my money.
The real “equity” charge would be to add 20% to the bill of every Black patron because they rarely tip and sometimes dine and dash.
My favorite local restaurant started a 3% “Covid recovery” surcharge. They are no longer my favorite and I have let them know we won’t be back. It was always an over $100 bill for a two person lunch, and the servers were tipped generously. Fuck off with that bs. Whatever I liked at your kiked establishment, I can make better at home anyway.

This won't work, in my opinion. They should simply raise prices on their menu. Trying to lie about the price by double speak is only going to annoy potential customers.
It would be more acceptable to simply raise prices and perhaps apologize by explaining the prices had to be increased due to politicians virtue signaling by raising minimum wage. Nope, the restaurant thinks virtue signaling itself is better.

In general, Black or Brown servers receive less tips than Caucasian servers.

I can't say that for all young women. We patronize a number of local restaurants and in most of them the wait staff is excellent. Even the young women.
