Thanks for the advice, that actually explains why it was tasting off. I was using Merlot. Anyway mixing wine and water is common in Croatia during summer, we call it Bevanda, half wine half water. I know it sounds unintuitive, but if you use nice freezing cold filtered water and it's hot outside, it's the drink that really hits the spot. Especially after a large meal.

Yeah I read his stuff, all of that is true an legit. That was a one of the most brutal wars recorded in modern history. My small town was also under siege for a few months, but we were in the mountains so a lot of forest and natural barriers saved us and being a rural community made it so that there was no starvation. Strategically placed AT Cannon also helped a lot. Everyone kept animals and had their own gardens, orchards and vineyards and everyone knew very well how to preserve food, especially my grandma and grandpa. Knowing now how it went for many small towns and villages, if Yugoslav fuckers made it through we would all be killed and town would be burned to the ground.
