It's difficult to give it up at first, but it gets easier after a few weeks. I went cold turkey but I didn't change anything else since I wanted to see just how many of my ills were caused by sugar alone. It turns out that most of my health issues were purely from sugar intake and nothing more. After a few months, I no longer craved sweets at all even though I occasionally eat a very small sugar-filled things on special occasions like birthdays or social/family gatherings. I usually don't have any immediate problems from eating it, but I do regret not sticking to my guns for the sake of being sociable. My wife and I have seen such positive results to having done this that we can never go back to the poison. It's just not worth the small moments of enjoyment for a lifetime of pain.
Your input is valuable enough, perhaps could you make a dedicated post sometime?
I have been meaning to make a detailed post on this but haven't got around to it. I will have to put it together and post it on a day when I can get it on Poal early enough for more users to see it and ask questions and such. I'll work on finding a time to make this happen.
