The most famous organization that supported Croatia against the Serbian aggressor was NSDAP/AO, who's leader is Gary Lauck. The official newspaper "The New Order" ran a series of articles in support of Croatia and they particularly expressed support for the Ustaše. The magazine was instrumental in recruiting National Socialist mercenaries to fight for the Croatian cause.

Group "Chicago" (also known as "Condor Brigade") was formed, composed of National Socialists from France, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Hungary, England, Australia, etc. The group, commanded by Major Tomislav Madi, was about 90 men strong, which also gained a special French united called "Groupe Jacques Doriot". They fought in areas around Vukovar and in Herzegovina, in the Mostar-Dubrovnik zone, south of Sarajevo.
