Always reject comparisons of places when the picture is not of the same place. You can go to any city and find a ghetto or a beautiful spot. Yes, even niggerville can be made to look appealing with good camera work and a little photoshop.
Obviously the point is true in general, as the statistics will show, but it just feels so cheap and stupid to use the "this picture then this picture" argument for it.
