one of my hobbies is to collect old tools and restore them. I have quite a few of the tools in that box but none in that good of condition. flea markets and yard sales can be a good place to comb looking for treasures such as this.

depending on the job, the old tools will always be superior. made to last with pride, not mass produced for profit.

Beautiful. A carpenter in his wettest dreams might not have dreamt of a toolbox like that.

I bet that is heavy AF.

That is awesome. A fine example of old world, old school finish carpentry.

No one has commented on the Freemason symbol

Nice, I see it comes with some cranial calipers to help identify the Üntermensch. LOL

What was every other race of people building and creating when this was used?

But I must say, craftsmanship is almost a dead art to white now too though.

Speak for yourself

On average. Hell, the new boys don’t even know how to change a tire or build a wall.

Funny that people will drool over the photo but no one will attempt to make anything like it. That’s how fucking lazy we are. Life was so much nicer before television

How many of us have the free time to spend thousands of hours making these? While you'd get an awesome toolset out of it, no one would be able to pay enough to make it worth selling it (even at several thousand dollars you'd be paying yourself a couple dollars per hour, and no one is going to pay $50k for these).

The Carpenters kit was fully portable, hence the term Journeyman Carpenter.
