part of the point was that universities/colleges, especially like the one OP is mentioning, are blatantly gay without needing to actually say "we're super fucking gay". It's like we're wearing "They Live" glasses and watching this dude walk into what he thinks is a straight bar, but we are fully aware it's 150% a gay bar.
