Okay, 4% for both whites and blacks preferring soccer as their favorite sport. Interesting. And we all know blacks make up 13% of the U.S population.

By my count that's 8 blacks (give or take, some look like weird muts), and 3 whites. If you look at the entire roster it's a similar distribution.

Most of the other FIFA teams I looked at had more normal representation, these 4 were the most egregious by far.

What could it all mean?

What could it all mean?

Look at hockey. They're making a huge push to reduce the number of white players. Yet whites are barely over represented in hockey. I think I read that they're over represented by like 15%. Then compare it with basketball where blacks make up like 90% of the players. There's no push to deal with the 500% over representation of blacks in basketball. It's artificial, but it starts early in like U14-15 type age groups. I know the major soccer club in my area is always touting extra bullshit for minorities. When you're in the bottom half of the pack, a little encouragement or mentorship can be the difference between dropping the sport and dedicating more effort.

I don't think of soccer as a black sport, I played growing up in the south and the vast majority were white.

Fact is that "someone" push myth that blacks are better athletes. In fact, they play roughly, with muscles not with brains. So, rules in many sports are changed to allow black to play in his rough way... which ruin beauty of many sports.
