I didn't realize it until 2020, but it is actually my responsibility as a male of European heritage.
For example, I also researched in 2020 my family history. My 10x great grandfather Alexander Gordon has a fucking wikipedia page
So that’s like 11 generations back. Wow. I tried one of those heritage sites before. I only made it back a few generations. Even though I paid for the service, it was just a spam fest of upgrade options. I lost interest in it.

I have a crazy life and when I found out this guy was the first of my lineage in America it really meant a lot to me.
That’s really neat. I’d like to find a better option to learn more about my roots.
