A competent midwife can be a great asset. They can help guide you through many issues. I recommend studying up on if any medical situations develop also. My wife gave birth at a birthing clinic while she had preeclampsia. It developed into HELLP and DIC. The doctor's negligence killed my wife and almost killed my daughter. If we had a good midwife and my wife had given birth at a hospital I know she would be alive today.

Yeah. My wife was a special person. She was always of the mindset that as long as our daughter was ok she didn't care what happened to her. If anyone deserves the title "mother" it's her.

I forgot the medical term, but my wife just kept bleeding. She needed emergency plasma. They gave me my daughter to hold, I could tell they where trying to divert my attention. Was fucking close. We would love more kids, but we dont want her to die.

I still feel bad durring the last one.

It was a Catholic hospitol. So while it was happening the priest came to talk to me. I knew exactly what the priest was for. The part I regret was I was a dick to the priest.

I strait told him.

Never got a chance to apologize to the priest.
