People tend to not like their own side profiles for the same reason we don't like photos of our faces in general, because it's not what we're used to seeing, we are only used to seeing mirror reflections and you don't often see your side profile. It doesn't mesh with our expectations. Either that or it's the influence of Jewish media making it seem like Sheboons are attractive.
