Actually it's literally as easy as going to church. My wife and I started going to church again last year. There's literally 3 attractive mid 20's and low 30's girls who are kind and friendly and looking for a man who isn't a piece of shit. And this is a church with about 30 in attendance every week. Any polite guy with good hygiene could waltz into the church this week and be on a nice date by this weekend. Do not underestimate him. It took me living off grid to really appreciate our grid. The scale, availability, and affordability of energy and resources is beyond measure. It costs tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of dollars to achieve 1/50th of what the average person uses in utilities. And instead of $100-$500 per month, you need $250,000 in infrastructure.
This achievement is not to be understated.
Living off grid is a way forward, but most of your efforts and resources go into replicating the grid. This will put us at a disadvantage competing with those leveraging the infrastructure WE INVENTED AND WE BUILT.
Why start over?
