Age of first birth dramatically impacts fertility rates. I.e. if you have your first child at 20, you'll have more than if you have your first child at 35. White women overwhelmingly go to college, then masters degree, then "muy career", then have their first child well into their 30s. Which equates to 1-2 kids if they have children at all.

The painful part is that they could have a ton of kids AND do "muy career" if they just did the kids first and career second, because you can have a great career in your 40s and 50s. You cant have kids then.
