Its always a sort of bell curve - there are idiots on both sides but the majority lie in the middle. The degeneracy exist mainly online, or in groups of one or the other sides of the curve. The majority of people are fence walkers that either lean towards tolerance or intolerance of degenerate behavior, but neither really does much to stop it.
