I look at it this way. A smart officer won't contribute to the bullshit but lay back and keep his views secret, his views that his oath to god country and his city to the Lord are his reason for getting up and risking his life. So as long as he is there he can get close to do what must be done at the right time including removing forcefully and hiding away said person till the righteous ones are put in their place or the country is returned to constitutional status. He might decide to stay to pass info onto the military through vets or trustworthy reservist or even moral people that have connections and go to other areas to give them a heads up when something big comes along. You have more ability to save lives from the inside than as an outsider that needs another like he was to give him intel on what is going on. The politicians know this so this is why they are trying to remove the legal gun carriers from the situation and only men that are private security will be left. You cannot plan if you are not able to know enemy plans in advance so you can fine tune all strategies. Now if this is done with other groups that are of the same mind then it's more effective so having smart, close mouthed, with a high moral code of conduct for themselves you have a chance, otherwise you can quit or be fired and out of the loop.
