We must rise up and demand that authorities get tough on crime and support law enforcement.

I have a projectile that travels much much faster than law enforcement and the justice system will ever do. If that's a problem for the establishment, then they decide how to handle that situation. One situation creates a new situation. They can arrest me for defending myself, but if they're so short staffed, what will they do when citizens start defending themselves more and more?
How will the establishment react when citizens wake up and realize, hey, we can do a better job than law enforcement and justice system. They need to consider that scenario.
We must vote out the people in power who put the “needs” of criminals above those of law-abiding (and tax-paying!) citizens.
You can not vote your way out of tyranny.
