As I said on a similar post a couple of days ago.

The likelihood that a virus that has been dormant for >48k years would be even infectious to any currently living animal are very small, and if so it would be highly unlikey to be contagious.

To get a highly contagious virus that spreads easily between humans, you'd need to isolate it and then run it through serial passage using ferrets or humanized mice so that the virus evolves to target the ACE2 receptor (assuming it is a respiratory virus).

You're probably correct, except these violent criminals aren't going to leave this to chance. Rather the permafrost narrative is the pretext. These fucks are going to really release one of their engineered viruses and blame global warming.
