I get that when my allergies get bad and my sinuses are blocked. Usually I load up on anti-histamines, but one time I went to the VA when it was really bad thumping in my ears. Told them about my allergies and sinus, and my pulse loud in my ears. They gave me a hearing test and said I needed hearing aids. So I went home and took double the allergy pills I normally take, and was fine the next day. Can't wait for universal health care and all the health workers being govt employees.
"Universal health care". In the U.S that's medicaid which is basically bandaid level healthcare, administered and delivered by minorities.
Self care is most often the best care.
I'm American, but I lived in New Zealand for 10 years in the 80s. 50% of the doctors and nurses were foreign, mostly Indian, Indonesia, or Philippines. You had to go to your 'local' family doctor to get a referral to a specialist, and there was a long wait time. I knew a guy that had a heart attack at 55. The ER did an angioplasty and sent him home after 3 days, told him he was on 'the list' to have open heart surgery to do a bypass. He died 18 months later, still on the list.
Sorry to hear about the guy that died waiting for bypass surgery. People think "free" healthcare is as accessible as U.S insurance/medicare. Whilst it's generally as good it can take a long time to obtain.
