While the compassion shown is appreciated and beneficial for the ones left behind, shouldn't we take the time to let family and friends see what a difference they have made in our lives now? Not just here online, but especially in our daily lives.This may be difficult for the recipients to gracefully accept, but it isn't about ego. I just don't like the feeling of "I wish I would have said...".

So maybe take the time today to tell that respected and loved one in your life how much they matter in your life. Don't regret the opportunity you have now.

yes, and they know it. i never forget to tell them. as fucked up as i am they still listen to me and treat me unconditionally, im grateful every day and think about them every day

they are present and more prevalent than my own family, i take it very seriously
