In the first “free and fair” elections of SA in the 90’s, many nationalist whites cast a strategic vote for Inkatha to try and keep the ANC out of power, since the white parties were too tiny to stand a chance. Former DA parliamentary candidate, Glynnis Breytenbach left the DA under a cloud in 2014. She was accused of soliciting an R11 million loan from Kirsh, the complainant in 2 cases she was prosecuting.
