At the root of most of society's problems I believe is apathy. Anyone care to argue that? Maybe it is just my own kryptonite and so it taints my world view. Why didn't I help that old man yesterday in the parking lot? It's not my responsibility I tell myself. I'm driving i say. I could have easily pulled over and helped. Its little things like this that one by one erode a person and a society. If everyone turns a blind eye then we reject the foundation of civilization. I'll try to do better I hope

It's a true expression but much easier to say than do. But you are right, ultimately all I can do is control my actions. Or end others.
