I was there recently, and it was really odd. Pretty normal looking, to be honest, like any suburban town.

But everything is in Hebrew, and everyone is dressed like an Orthodox Jew.

I saw awkward rabbis stumbling around, literally reading torahs as they walked. It was as if the had built a parallel society.

Well, that's inaccurate. They definitely didn't build a goddamn thing in that town. I saw a lot of construction going on in that town, mostly Hispanics working on new houses.

And apparently, that community hasn't been all that Jewish for all that long. From what i have heard, they began moving in massively in the early two thousands, and kind of took over the community. Since the last census was done in 2010, it doesn't accurately state the current situation.

I didn't see a single non-jew who wasn't a Mexican doing construction the entire time I was there.

I think this is really interesting. I'm going to do more research on how it came to be this way.

Regards,

-Theo
