Huffington Post claims Shell forces workers to attend Trump rally and that if they don't they don't get paid. Warns that any protest, signs, etc. would be prohibited. If that were the complete picture this would be very illegal for Shell to do. Compelled political activity is a big no-no. It was not a Trump rally at all... it was a plant opening celebration, at Shell's new plant, that was only built because Trump negotiated a deal with Shell in 2017 to get them to build it. The workers were given the option of skipping but the speech was on the factory floor during normal working hours... the workers only lost pay for the duration of the speech which was over before lunch. And telling them no protest? That is fine if it is at company location, during work hours. Does HufPo mention any of this? No...
