I wish...last night went to do 5 min of work .. file on PCs HD messed up.
Go and grab my BU HD that I just backed up last afternoon and would have had 95% of the work on it ... damn Windows chkdisk popup .. finally, 1 hr later to find the file folder directory there but click on it, no files in the directory .. or any other directory. Something happened.
No power outages or anything.
So spent 3 hrs trying to get the BU files back ... just ended up, at the end of 3 hrs with .CHK files ... could not figure them out (change ext to pdf, doc, etc...all no good).
Crack of dawn time...decision time...stay up and recreate the file lost or go to sleep and get nothing done for the day. I stayed up. Back to 95% of the work that needs to be completed. Basically just re-wrote the document by memory. It took 16 hrs initially...8 hrs today.
I printed out my work from today and BU to a second HD ... next will be a fire. Not my lucky day.
Play windows games, win windows prizes.
All computers have their issues...and all OS have their issues.

I have a Red Hat server that has been running continuously for over a decade.
I can't understand installing Linux on these new systems... Back in the day before Windows 10 it was easy-sleazy but now... Fuck especially with this Dell laptop, feels like it's almost impossible.
Da fuck you talking about? Installing Linux on a dell brand new Dell laptop is painless. I am writing this on a 4mo old Dell running Linux. When you say
Fuck especially with this Dell laptop, feels like it's almost impossible.
it makes me think you have never even tried this.
You know Dell officially supports Unbuntu and you can get Dell laptops pre-installed with Unbuntu?
